Miles & Quincy Live at Montreux

Miles & Quincy Live at Montreux is a Miles Davis collaboration with Quincy Jones for the 1991 Montreux Jazz Festival. For the first time in three decades, Davis returned to the songs arranged by Gil Evans on such classic 1950s albums as Miles Ahead, Porgy and Bess and Sketches of Spain. This album was also the last album recorded by Davis (though recordings from nine days later, despite being recorded at Lyon, would be included on the "Complete Montreux" box set.) It left a lot of people who had been disappointed with his newer, more experimental works happy that he had ended his career on such a high note.citation needed
